If you don’t recall yesterday’s meal, it probably wasn’t worth remembering. Like most days that don’t leave long-lasting memories or merit inclusion in a biographical book, yesterday’s leftovers aren’t much more than a repetition – well, that’s something we can live with. But if not a meal, there’s something else we should retain from the day before, some leftovers that keep you pondering late into the night. In the end, some leftovers are just commodities, while others linger, knocking back.
